{"id":2361,"date":"2025-04-08T07:13:34","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T07:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.colang.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2361"},"modified":"2025-04-08T07:19:17","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T07:19:17","slug":"2361","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.colang.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2361","title":{"rendered":"Master&#8217;s Thesis Examines Modern Methods of Syriac Lexicography"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\"><strong>Master&#8217;s Thesis Examines Modern Methods of Syriac Lexicography<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">The Department of Syriac Language at the College of Languages \u200b\u200bat the University of Baghdad discussed the master&#8217;s thesis entitled &#8220;Lexical Studies and Their Applications to Syriac Dictionaries &#8211; A Comparative Semitic Study&#8221; by student Mark Wathiq Saeed.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">The thesis aimed to shed light on Syriac lexicography and its dictionaries, the most prominent linguists and lexicographers who have undertaken the experience of constructing Syriac lexicography, and the study of lexicographical applications.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\"> The thesis also included a study of the method used by the Syriac lexicographer to construct his dictionary and organize his entries, comparing these applications with other dictionaries.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">The thesis recommended the need to pay attention to the field of Syriac lexicographical studies and urged specialists to conduct research that addresses this aspect. It also emphasized the importance of conducting field studies that address Syriac dialects and document them in modern dictionaries.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">The committee recommended that the researcher take into account the comments made by the committee members, and the thesis was accepted with a\u00a0 Meet&#8217;s Requirement grade.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div id=\"cz_15361\" class=\"cz_grid_p cz_15361\"><div class=\"cz_grid cz_grid_1
