The delegation \u00a0was \u00a0received on Monday morning , October 9, by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Adnan Mshawash and Assistant Professor Dr. Jaafar Abdel. Al-Zahra, Head of the Department\u00a0 of French language, and Assistant Professor Ammar Abdel Razzaq, Head of the Department of Syriac language. During the visit Mrs. Korjo toured \u00a0the classrooms and met with the professors and \u00a0students of the department discussing \u00a0\u00a0curricula -related matters and how to improve \u00a0the linguistic\u00a0 skills \u00a0by availing of \u00a0the professors\u2019 experience. Expressing her point of view, \u00a0Korjo stressed the role and importance of the language as a means to learn \u00a0about French \u00a0culture and civilization.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">Such visits, which are carried out \u00a0by \u00a0various delegations, \u00a0are \u00a0a result of \u00a0an international openness that aims at achieving \u00a0sustainable development goals. However , achieving such goals necessitates a need \u00a0for students to receive a good education through \u00a0engaging and mixing with native speakers.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">Enthusiastically, students availed of this visit as an opportunity to hold conversations with Mrs. Korjo focusing on how to pronounce letters and syllables stress.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">This partnership comes as a result of cooperation between the University of Baghdad \u2013 College of Languages and the French Embassy which will support the establishment of \u00a0\u00a0a French corner at the College of Languages.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000000;\">Through its support for cultural activities and stressing the importance of learning languages, the College\u00a0 of Languages aims at \u00a0achieving the goals of sustainable development. The realization of such development is seen through the \u00a0efforts \u00a0of the French delegation represented by Mrs. Korjo, \u00a0university officials, faculty members and students. In this vein , efforts are exerted \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0to \u00a0enhance cooperation and partnerships among \u00a0various segments of society which go hand in hand with \u00a0the \u00a0principles of Goal 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals. This can be achieved through concerted efforts between \u00a0academia, governments and other related sectors.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium
