About the College

The College of Languages has worked to create a distinguished atmosphere for teaching and learning by offering study programs that can develop students’ talents to be scientifically and professionally creative and prepare them for outstanding careers in the domains of language and literature. 

Admission inputs for Undergraduate Studies

Students are admitted to the departments of the College of Languages from graduates of secondary school in both the scientific and literary branches. The Presidency of the University of Baghdad is responsible for determining admission to the scientific departments.

Scientific Background for Postgraduate studies

The “Study in Iraq” initiative accepts international students into the master’s program in the Department of English at the College of Languages, with academic backgrounds of Language and Literature. As for the other departments, they accept students with an academic backgrounds of language only. The Presidency of the University of Baghdad is responsible for admitting students to the scientific departments.
