Department of Hebrew
The College of Arts at the University of Baghdad founded the Department of Oriental Languages in the academic year 1969–1970 as one of its scientific departments. At that time, the department had three branches: Hebrew languages, Persian languages, Turkish languages. When the College of Languages was established at the University of Baghdad in the academic year 1987–1988, these branches developed into independent scientific departments, reflecting the increased interest in learning the language and the enthusiasm to master it in a good manner commensurate with the place of the interest received.
