The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Languages – University of Baghdad organized an introductory workshop on Sunday 31/12/2023 entitled (The Role of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit to Prepare the Graduate for the Labor Market) with the participation of female instructors (Instructor Dr. Nour Hamid Abdullah / Assistant Instuctor Nisreen Shaker Hassoun) and with the presence of a number of college instructors, employees and students.The workshop (which specifically targets the first year students) aimed to introduce the role of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit in the College of Languages, which contributes to marketing graduates, following them up after appointment in the government and private sectors, and evaluating the extent of benefiting from their specializations. The workshop included many topics, the most prominent of which is directing and advising first year students on the importance of the departments where they were accepted, the importance of languages for the student (better communication, understanding different cultures and languages, critical thinking through exchanged questions between two different languages).
The workshop included very useful interventions and advice from the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Russian Language Department, and other professors with the first-year students to motivate them to move forward in developing their language skills to become prepared for the labor market in the future.
