A student at the College of Languages earns third place in the 2025 International Essay Writing Competition


Muhammad Sadiq Ibrahim, a graduate student from the Department of English, secured third place in the 2025 International Essay Writing Competition.

The contest was held under the patronage of the Royal Thai Embassy in Iraq and hosted at the Baghdad International Hotel.
The event was attended by numerous officials, as well as academic and cultural figures, lending it special significance.
This competition aims to enhance students’ writing and literary expression skills, focusing on a variety of cultural and literary themes.
It serves as a platform for students from diverse cultural backgrounds to exchange ideas. It offers them a significant opportunity to develop their literary abilities and engage in a rich cultural dialogue, reflecting efforts to advance higher education in Iraq.
This participation also fulfills the fourth Sustainable Development Goal, which calls for quality education, as well as the seventeenth goal, which promotes partnerships for achieving the SDGs.
