Two faculty members from the College of Languages participate in an international scientific workshop in Turkey

Two faculty members from the Department of Turkish Language at the College of Languages, University of Baghdad, took part in the joint scientific workshop titled *“Teaching the Turkish Language and Linguistic Studies between Turkey and Iraq,” organized in cooperation between Dijla University in Turkey and the University of Baghdad, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics from both sides. The first session featured the participation of the Head of the Turkish Language Department, Assistant Professor Alaa Falah Hassan, who presented his research titled “The Use of Shared Vocabulary and Suffixes between Ottoman Turkish and Iraqi Arabic.”In the second session, Lecturer Dr. Munhil Neamat Mohammed Saleh presented his study titled “Observations on the Phoneme Ḍād (ض) in Borrowed and Loanwords of Arabic Found in Ottoman–Turkish Dictionaries.”
