College of Languages Launches Online Russian Language Proficiency Tests Under Russian University Supervision
The College of Languages at the University of Baghdad has launched online Russian‑language proficiency assessments for its students, supervised by the Chechen State Pedagogical University and in cooperation with the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University. The tests run on 21–24 June, with the participation of 25 students from three academic levels. They cover three linguistic proficiency tiers and assess reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking skills through an online platform monitored by Russian instructors. The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashwesh, inspected the testing process onsite and directed the provision of a fully integrated technical environment to ensure its success. This initiative comes as part of an academic cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening Russian‑language education in Iraq. The testing process was supervised by the Head of the Russian Department, Prof. Dr. Najwa Fouad Ali, along with faculty members Prof. Dr. Yassin Hamza, Prof. Dr. Hisham Ali, Asst. Prof. Yusra Akram, and Asst. Prof. Azzam Ahmed.
