Faculty Members of the Department of Russian Conclude Participation in a Professional Development Program in the Russian Federation
On Thursday, 3 September, the activities of a summer professional development school concluded with the participation of thirteen faculty members from the Department of Russian at the College of Languages, University of Baghdad. The program was organized by Chechen State Pedagogical University in the Russian Federation from 26 August to 3 September under the framework of the cooperation agreement between the University of Baghdad and the Russian university.
The summer school was supervised by a distinguished group of specialists in Russian language education from various Russian universities. Its objective was to enhance teaching skills and strengthen academic exchange and cooperation between educational institutions in both countries.
At the end of the program, a ceremony was held to award certificates of appreciation to the participants. During the event, Tamara Andiyevna Aftaeva, Assistant Rector for Scientific and International Affairs, delivered a message on behalf of the university president, expressing deep admiration for Iraq’s historical and cultural contributions and emphasizing promising prospects for future cooperation with the University of Baghdad.
The Russian host university also arranged a rich cultural program for the Iraqi delegation, including visits to the Akhmad-Haji Kadyrov Museum, excursions to mountainous regions renowned for their natural beauty, attendance at cultural and artistic performances, and guided tours of prominent mosques in the city of Grozny, all of which enriched the participants’ cultural and academic experience.
