Faculty of Languages  participated in the opening of an international academic forum aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation with Dijla University in Turkey

As part of its efforts to enhance academic collaboration and expand engagement with regional universities, Faculty of Languages  at the University of Baghdad took part in launching the Turkey–Iraq Forum for Teaching the Turkish Language and Linguistic Studies, hosted by Dicle University in the city of Diyarbakır from 3–13 July, within the framework of the project “Two Cities… One River,” which seeks to reinforce academic and cultural ties between Iraq and Turkey. The University of Baghdad’s delegation includes nine students and two faculty members, participating in a ten‑day academic and cultural program featuring intensive Turkish‑language training courses, scholarly seminars, specialized workshops, and field visits to major historical and cultural landmarks in Diyarbakır. The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by the Dean of  Faculty of Languages  at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan , along with several officials from Dijla University and academics from both the Iraqi and Turkish sides, in addition to the presence of the Head and the Rapporteur of the Turkish Language Department at the Faculty of Languages .
