Faculty Members from the College of Languages Participate in the Second Assyrian Language Forum (Mar Narsai) in the Kurdistan Region
A group of faculty members from the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad, representing the Departments of Syriac and Hebrew, took part in the second Assyrian Language Forum (Mar Narsai). The event was hosted by the Assyrian Cultural Center in the city of Duhok, with the participation of distinguished academics, researchers, and specialists in linguistic, historical, and cultural studies from various Iraqi universities and scientific institutions. From the Department of Syriac, the participants included: (Prof. Mueid Hussein Munshid, Lecturer Mohammed Radi Zuwer, Lecturer Laith Hassan Mohammed, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Obeid, and Lecturer Amal Adi Boulos. From the Department of Hebrew, the participants were: Prof. Dr. Adnan Shbeeb Jassim, and Prof. Dr. Raheem Radi Abd. The forum featured discussions across several academic themes related to the Assyrian and Syriac languages and their literatures, in addition to diverse historical, cultural, and intellectual topics.
