She was accompanied by Ms. Carmen Bojan Freire, the Consul and Deputy Ambassador. The meeting was attended by the College’s assistants, the Head of the Spanish Language Department, and several faculty members of the department.
The Dean opened the meeting by extending a warm welcome to Her Excellency, congratulating her on the commencement of her duties in Baghdad. He emphasized the significance of fostering cooperation between Iraq and Spain, particularly in the areas of scholarship exchange and the “Study in Iraq” initiative for international students, which is supported by His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The discussions focused on enhancing support for students, with a particular emphasis on facilitating opportunities for them to participate in scientific programs, including training courses at Spanish universities.
