Students at the College of Languages / Italian Department succeed in passing the first level of the intensive course in Italy
Students from the Italian Department, College of Languages, University of Baghdad, have completed the first level of the intensive course in Italian language and culture in Italy. At the end of the first month of the program, the students passed their exams after completing lectures and practical exercises in writing, grammar, and conversation, achieving excellent scores in the language proficiency test.
They have now advanced to the second phase of the upper beginner level, while one student was placed directly into a higher level due to his excellent language skills. He is currently in the second phase of the advanced level, and after completing three months, he will be qualified enough to pursue a master’s degree in Italy. This corresponds to level B2 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (QCER).
All the students expressed their great satisfaction with studying in Italy, as their ability to communicate with Italian native speakers provided valuable practical experience. It is worth noting that the students take a comprehensive final exam at the end of each academic month, which helps them progress gradually through the regular language levels. This initiative achieves Sustainable Development Goal 4, providing good education and learning opportunities for all.
