Green Voices: An Awareness Activity by the College of Languages in Support of Sustainable Development
The Department of English at the College of Languages, in collaboration with the volunteer team Linguists, organized an educational and awareness-raising activity titled “Green Voices: English for a Sustainable Future.” The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Languages, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashwesh, along with faculty members and students of the department.
The activity aimed to instill a culture of environmental sustainability as an integral part of the academic identity of the department and the university, and to foster a sense of individual and collective responsibility toward environmental protection.
The event included the presentation of awareness posters that contributed to promoting environmental sustainability concepts, as well as the distribution of English-language brochures addressing topics such as energy conservation and environmental protection. Eco‑friendly products carrying English awareness slogans were also distributed.
