Master’s Thesis Explores African American Feminist Theatre at the College of Languages
The Department of English at the College of Languages, University of Baghdad, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Dark-Skinned Women Writers and Theorists: A Critical Study of Selected Contemporary African American Plays” by the student Shahad Abdul Kareem Abdullah.
The thesis aimed to examine the ways in which women confronted patterns of oppression based on race, gender, and class affiliation, whether through their literary production or their social activism. The committee recommended that the researcher consider the observations made by the members during the discussion. It is worth noting that the examination committee was composed of:
