International Recognition for a Faculty Member at the College of Languages for his Role in a Scientific Conference at Tabriz University in Iran
As part of the scientific and cultural cooperation between the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad and Iranian universities, Dr. Anwar Abbas Majid, a faculty member in the Persian Language Department, participated in the 9th International Conference of the Shahriar Scientific and Cultural Award, held at Tabriz University on September 17-18, 2024.
He was selected among prominent professors in the field of Persian language and literature from five countries: Iraq, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, to participate in the conference. He was honored with a medal and a shield from the conference, which was held in celebration of Persian poetry and literature day and in commemoration of the great Iranian poet Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Shahriar.
Additionally, he participated in a number of scientific and cultural sessions on the sidelines of the conference aimed at enhancing the teaching and learning levels of the Persian language for non-native speakers.
