Participation in an international conference in Algeria
Assistant Professor Dr. Arwa Fakhri Abdel Latif, Director of the Human Rights Unit at the College of Languages, participated in the international conference held in Algeria 10-23-2024 at the invitation of the Faculty of Law, University of Constantine, Mentouri Brothers 1, under the title (The Dual Parliamentary System: The Algerian Experience in Comparative Systems). The lecturer’s participation came through her research entitled (The Problem of Forming the Legislative Authority in Iraq in Light of the 2005 Constitution). The study recommended the necessity of forming the Federation Council approved by the Iraqi Constitution in 2005, and emphasized the major role of the population census in determining the seats of the House of Representatives, with the necessity of keeping the legislative process away from political bargaining.
Dr. Arwa Fakhri received a certificate of participation and a letter of thanks and appreciation from the committee supervising the conference.
