Due to its scientific and cultural importance, the French Embassy enhances academic cooperation with the College of Languages.
The Dean of the College of Languages, Professor Dr. Ali Adnan Mushawash, received Ms. Christine, the linguistic and educational attaché at the French Embassy, in his office on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in the presence of Ms. Prof. D. Thuka’ Mutab Hussein, the Dean’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Ms. A.M. Rana Youssef Abdul Latif, the Dean’s Assistant for Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Sudad Anwar Mohammed, Head of the French Language Department.
During the visit, Ms. Christine took a tour to review the construction projects in the French Language Department and met with students in the classrooms, where she praised their outstanding language proficiency. A meeting was also held with the department’s professors, where she invited them to participate in the Francophonie events organized by the French Cultural Institute in Baghdad.
The College of Languages, through its support for scientific and cultural activities, emphasizes the importance of learning languages and contributing to achieving the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which ensures quality, equitable, and inclusive education for all, and promotes cooperation and partnerships among different segments of society, in line with the principles of the seventeenth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, through collaborative efforts among the various sectors.
