Academic Visit from the University of Alcalá, Spain, to the College of Languages
The College of Languages at the University of Baghdad welcomed Professor Dr José Antonio Guriguí from the University of Alcalá, Spain, as part of the External Examiner Program, which aims to strengthen the quality of education and meet global academic accreditation standards in line with quality assurance requirements.
Professor Guriguí visited the English Language Department, where he met with members of the scientific committee, faculty members, and postgraduate students. He reviewed the academic programs and their objectives, then he delivered a lecture in English literature to postgraduates, which included rich academic discussions on research methodologies and literary analysis techniques. He also examined course syllabi, sample exam questions, evaluation mechanisms, and proposed thesis topics for master’s students, praising the college’s efforts in developing academic programs that align with global trends in higher education.
