College of Languages Participated in the International Educational Forum in the Russian Federation
Mr. Ali Adnan Mashoush, Dean of the College of Languages, participated in the International Educational Forum in the city of Grozny, from September 23-26, 2024, which was organized by the Chechen State Pedagogical University. His paper was entitled “Russia and the Arab World: Modern Landmarks for Cooperation.”
The forum witnessed wide participation from Arab universities and diplomatic missions in Russia, in addition to scientific and cultural institutions from various Arab countries, alongside official participation from Russian universities.
During a speech delivered by the Dean of the College of Languages at the forum, he stated: “Iraqi-Russian relations extend for more than eighty years, and education represents the most important cooperative link, as more than five thousand students in various specialties study in Russia.”
A preliminary agreement was reached between College of Languages , University of Baghdad and College of Foreign Languages ,Chechen State Pedagogical University, represented by its Dean Dr. Norfadi Baykov, regarding the exchange of experiences and sending students in the fields of Russian and Arabic languages to Russia and Iraq during the summer vacation for training in language through memorandums of understanding that will be signed in the future after obtaining the approval of the university and the ministry.
On the sidelines of the forum, an exhibition was organized to show the scientific and cultural achievements of students at the university, and students from Iraq studying at the university participated in presenting their scientific achievements.
At the end of the forum, the Dean of the College of Languages presented a symbolic gift to the President of Chechen University, Dr. Ismail, representing the most important historical landmarks in Iraq.
