The students made distinguished efforts during the debate, and the attendees interacted positively with them and expressed their admiration for the analyses and advanced ideas that were presented during the debate. Assistant Professor Dr. Ali emphasizes the importance of  repeating  such debates. The Head of the English Department at the College of Languages also expressed her admiration for the level of debate and her keenness to support students in obtaining education and development opportunities.

From the debate that was held between the students of the English Department at the College of Languages and the College of Arts about the impact of technology on our daily lives, several important conclusions were reached: Firstly, technology has a significant impact on our daily lives, and it may be positive or negative, and therefore we must approach it with caution and analyze its implications. Secondly, it has been emphasized that the use of social media and smart devices affects human relationships and may lead to isolation and a decrease in social interaction, so clear limits must be set for the use of these means. Thirdly, it has been shown that technology affects work and the economy in multiple ways, increasing productivity and efficiency in some industries, and at the same time leading to job losses in some other sectors, so its impact must be carefully studied before making any decision. Fourthly, it was emphasized that technology affects teaching and learning, and opens new doors for distance learning and e-learning, but at the same time, the quality of the content and training provided through these means must be ensured.

This debate comes within the framework of the university’s efforts to encourage academic dialogue and intellectual debate among its students, and it is an affirmation of its commitment to the development of education and scientific research in various fields. This debate is an ideal opportunity for students to get acquainted with different points of view.
