French Language Department Students Participate in French Institute Activities with International Presence
Within the activities of the Francophonie Week, the French Institute in Baghdad organized the Universities Day activities, in which the College of Languages participated with students from the French Language Department.
The French Language Department students presented a variety of activities, including plays, a song, drawings, and a nature exhibition, under the supervision of the department’s professors. Certificates were distributed to French Language Department students who obtained the A1 and B1 certificates.
The activities, which were held on Saturday afternoon, April 27, at the institute’s headquarters, were attended by the Dean of the College of Languages, Dr. Ali Adnan Mashoush, who was presented with the Shield of Excellence by the French ambassador in honor of the efforts of the College of Languages and the French Language Department. Dr. Jaafar Abdulzahra Rahma, Head of the French Language Department, a number of department professors, and the Director of the Sports Unit, Dr. Ahmed Taha, also attended.
His Excellency the French ambassador praised the efforts of the French Language Department students and the attendance of the dean, department professors, and students, promising a soon visit to the College of Languages.
It is worth noting that the number of students who obtained the certificate from the French Language Department at the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad was 18 students from the first grade and 10 from the second and third grades.
The Dean of the College previously honored the second and third grade students for passing the French DELF exam, from those who obtained the A1 and B1 certificates.
