On Saturday the 17th of June, 2023,The College of Languages applied the initiative of his excellency the Minster of Higher Education and Scientific Research (study in Iraq) through meeting a group of foreign students (8 students) from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Guinea, Palestine, Yemen and Jordan who applied to study master of English Language (Linguistics and Literature) in English Department/ The College of Languages/ The University of Baghdad . The assistant professor Suaaded Fadhil Kadhim the head of the English Department supervised all the technical and communicative matters related to the interview. An interview committee was formed from the following lecturers from the teaching staff:
Prof.Dr. Mahdi Anaiaa Karim
Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Abd Al Munaam Aziz
Assist. Prof. Ahssan Alwan Muhsin.
The students were interviewed by the committee through Skype. The committee evaluated their skills and their scientific background .The interview gave a sufficient time for each student. The foreign students showed a high level of readiness and preparation for the interview,as well as mastering and understanding the concepts of English Language and literature .
It is worth noting that the “Study in Iraq” program aims to attract foreign students and provide them with an opportunity to study in Iraq and benefit from the experiences and resources of Iraqi universities. This program is considered a valuable opportunity to enhance academic cooperation and cultural exchange between Iraq and other countries.
