The Dean of the College of Languages extends heartfelt condolences to the Islamic world on the commemoration of the tragic event of Al-Taff. The incident, which occurred on the 10th of Muharram in 61 AH, remains etched in the collective memory of Muslims worldwide as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to righteousness. The event is intricately linked to the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the revered grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his followers, who bravely stood against injustice and tyranny.
The memory of Imam Hussein’s sacrifice shall continue to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength for Muslims worldwide, reminding them of the eternal pursuit of truth, justice, and righteousness.
We ask the Almighty, the Exalted, to guide us on the path of reform that was set by Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his noble family with their pure and sacred blood.
No matter how much we say or write, we cannot surpass the words of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said, “Written on the Holy Throne: Verily, Hussein is the lantern of guidance and the ship of salvation.”
