The College of Languages holds a celebration on the occasion of Victory Day
In the presence of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashoush, , assistants of the Dean, heads of scientific departments, and a number of teachers, employees and students of the college; The College of Languages held a celebration on Thursday, 12-12-2024, on the occasion of Victory Day, the anniversary of the victory of the Iraqis over Daesh the terrorist organization.
The celebration included several activities, starting with the Iraqi national anthem, reciting Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the Iraqi martyrs, and speeches praising the heroic efforts exerted by the Iraqi army, security forces, and the Popular Mobilization Forces in the liberation battles against terrorist organizations.
In a speech by the Dean, he stressed that the Iraq Victory Day over the terrorist organization Daesh is a bright milestone in the history of modern Iraq. On this glorious day, the Iraqi nation regained its pride and dignity through the sacrifices of its heroic sons, who accepted the call of the homeland and united their ranks to defend the land and honour and remove the darkness of terrorism that tried to snuff out the light of life. Victory Day is an occasion on which we remember the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs and repromise to preserve the security and stability of Iraq. It is also a call to confirm the spirit of national unity and mutual work to build a bright future worthy of the heroes’ sacrifices
