College of Languages in Cairo: Hosting the International Forum for Graduates of The Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashwash, participated in the Russia and Soviet Union Graduates Forum, which was held in Cairo during the period December 3-4, 2024, under the auspices of the Russian Federal Agency for International Cooperation (Russian House) and the North Caucasus Federal University, and Soviet and Russian Universities.
The forum aimed to explore the branding and positioning of educational institutions in the digital environment, understand digital marketing trends, manage digital communications for branding, and identify key branding mistakes.
The Dean of the College of Languages delivered a speech discussing the role of Baghdad University in supporting digital education, which is a priority for the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq. He highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Iraq and Russian universities through fellowships and scholarships spanning over eighty years, inviting participants to visit Iraq and witness advancements in international education through the “Study in Iraq” initiative.
The Egyptian Minister of Higher Education opened the forum, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, stated, “We live in an era of global changes not only in the political realm but also in economic, educational, and humanitarian fields, where graduates of Russian and Soviet universities play an important role.”
During the forum, the Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Agency for International Cooperation, Pavel Anatolyevich Shevtsov, expressed confidence that the forum would be a significant step towards enhancing educational and healthcare cooperation between our countries.
From Baghdad University, Dr. Walid Latif Abdullah, representing the Russian Language Department, spoke about the importance of language training and encouraged students to visit their language country during the summer holidays to gain more knowledge by experiencing the culture and customs of the country.
