Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Adnan Mashwash, Dean of the College of Languages, directed the necessity of using non-indexed scientific books found in the scientific departments and displaying them to encourage students to return to the paper book as part of the initiatives of the language branches. His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Scientific Research and Higher Education, instructed this. As a component of the reading contest that His Excellency previously held to encourage college students to pick up reading again.
The Turkish Language Department organized a book fair in the department’s courtyard, which was inaugurated by Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Odeh Goyer, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, on behalf of the College Dean. The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and the head of the Turkish Language Department also attended the event, along with staff and students. Professors and students expressed their satisfaction with the project and how it helped them. Overall, the book fair was a success and showcased various novels.
