Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the University of Baghdad and the French University of Artois, the French Language Department held on Tuesday 2/5/2023 a video lecture on the Zoom application entitled “French Language and the Importance of Teaching French for Specialized Purposes in Iraqi Universities” in the presence of faculty and students of the department. The lecture was presented by Prof.Dr. John-Marc Mongent from the University of Artois, France, in partnership with the scientific coordinator between the two universities, Prof.Dr.Taghreed Abdul Zahra Abboud, where the lecturer presented the modern methods and techniques in teaching the French language to foreigners and the difficulties and challenges that language learners may face for specialized purposes.
