The College of Languages Participates in the Central Graduation Ceremony of the University of Baghdad for the 67th Cohort (Class of Knowledge and Building)
In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, the central graduation ceremony for the 67th cohort (Class of Science and Building) was held on the evening of Saturday, November 2, 2024. Graduates from the College of Languages for the academic year 2023-2024 participated in the event, which took place at the stadium of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Jadriya.
During his speech, Minister Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi directed the relevant departments and entities within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to study and provide the necessary requirements for establishing a new college at the University of Baghdad. This proposed college would specialize in frontier sciences, fostering innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects. It would adopt dynamic, high-quality academic programs with global outreach in scientific specializations such as data analysis, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, environmental sciences, climate change, renewable energy, social sciences, and other fields of knowledge.
The ceremony featured a speech by the President of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, and the recitation of the graduation oath. Minister Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi honored the top-performing students, emphasizing that the graduation of the 67th cohort at this time reflects the enduring presence of the nation’s highest values and principles in the hearts and minds of the Iraqi community and its loyal citizens. He highlighted their role in supporting and championing the victories and sacrifices made by the heroes of Lebanon and Palestine in confronting Zionist aggression in the region.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Languages, along with members of the college council. They expressed their joy at seeing a new class of students graduate, wishing them continued success in their professional lives.
