College of Languages Opens Global Entrepreneurship Week Activities for the Year 2024
Deanery of the College of Languages opened activities of its annual program (Global Entrepreneurship Week for the year 2024) on Wednesday 4-12-2024.
The program involved holding academic activities for entrepreneurship, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and developing the scientific and academic skills of the college students.
The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department (at the College of Languages) organized a lecture in cooperation with the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance (at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad) entitled “How to choose the appropriate project”. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Alaa Al-Khazraji, a pioneer expert, in the presence of Dean Assistants and a number of college staff members and students. The lecture aimed at introducing students to how to choose the appropriate projects and overcome difficulties for achieving success. The lecture made a reference to issues that may help to know personal passion and patience to go on a project. As well, the importance of identifying weaknesses and strengths and knowing competitors in the labor market was touched upon, along with the need to choose unfamiliar projects. During the lecture many inquiries and interventions were made. On his part, Mr. Al-Khazraji expressed his readiness to support students via exchange of experience and expertise in the field of developing entrepreneurial projects. In conclusion, the lecturer presented to the students an important book in the field of entrepreneurship entitled (Secrets of Financial Freedom). The researcher appreciated the efforts exerted by the Deanery of the College of Languages in holding activities in support of the youth for their important role in the development of society. Moreover, College of Languages seeks, through holding such academic activities in the field of learning foreign languages, to spread a culture of entrepreneurship among its students and enable them to acquire the necessary skills in the field of translation and contribute to achieving sustainable development.
