Information and Governmental Communication Division organized with the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior/ Minister’s office/ Information and Relations Office/ Department of Fighting Rumors in the College of Languages/ University of Baghdad on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 an academic seminar entitled (the Role of the University Student and the Educational Institution in Facing the Negative Consequences of Rumors). Colonel Ammar Hameed participated in the seminar.
He is an academic researcher in the field of rumors, and Captain Khadem Jasim precipitated also. The seminar was attended by a number of the faculty, staff, and students of the college.
The seminar aimed at introducing the danger of rumors and their effect on university students. The seminar emphasized the importance of verifying any information. The seminar emphasized also the role of the educational institution in spreading the awareness among students to face rumors and enhancing talk and discussion.
The educational institution must put clear policies in fighting rumors and enhancing awareness and education among youth.
